VOLA is a Danish design brand internationally recognized for its minimalist bathroom and kitchen fixtures rooted in Scandinavian architectural design principles. Founded in Denmark and still manufactured there, the company is known for combining precision engineering with timeless aesthetics, creating products that are widely used in contemporary architecture and interior design projects around the world. The origin of the brand dates back to the early 1960s when founder Verner Overgaard collaborated with legendary Danish architect Arne Jacobsen to develop a revolutionary wall-mounted mixer tap. The concept hid the mechanical components inside the wall so that only the handle and spout remained visible—an innovation that fundamentally changed modern faucet design. The first VOLA fixtures were introduced in 1968 for the National Bank of Denmark, marking the beginning of what would become a design icon of the Danish modern era. Today VOLA remains a family-owned company operated by the Overgaard family and continues to manufacture its products in Denmark.
