The simplicity of the project was determined from the very beginning — with the name of the café Plain (translated from English — simple, clear). Removing the unnecessary, the redundant and leaving the essence in the conditions of visual noise and information overload — the tasks that determined the minimalist design, allowing guests to focus on the main thing. Plain is the place where we wanted to embody our idea that in a clean space with minimal manipulations in design it is possible to create a comfortable functional interior that answers the question: "What is important to us today?" The founder of the café was reverent and involved in the project and its every detail, so we had to be convincing, making each element justified and subordinate to the concept of the project.
The main advantage of the establishment is its layout: simple and clear from the very entrance, where guests can easily navigate the space and comfortably spend time over coffee. The central core of the hall is the bar counter with a coffee machine. With an area of only 60 m², the coffee shop looks quite spacious: in addition to the bar and a display case with a large counter, it has eight tables and a large common table, designed specifically for this space.
It is known that an overloaded interior reduces the quality of perception and concentration by 30%. Therefore, the solution of the coffee shop space is focused on three main accents: light walls as a clean canvas, wood and metal as the main materials from which the furniture is made.
Several lamps from our bureau, a mirror strip along the wall, a bookcase with books are the main decorative elements of the interior. We wanted to give as much free space as possible to light, air and the aroma of coffee and fresh pastries.
