Epicurus Jazz Club

Located in Copenhagen, Denmark, Epicurus Jazz Club is a thoughtfully curated space designed by the acclaimed Danish-Italian studio GamFratesi. The project transforms a basement venue into a moody, immersive jazz environment that fuses design, acoustics, and atmosphere.

GamFratesi drew inspiration from the sensory world of music and philosophy, using rich materials like velvet, brass, and smoked oak to create a warm, intimate environment. Lighting plays a crucial role—low-hanging pendants and hidden indirect lights sculpt the ambiance without overpowering the stage.

From the curved stage clad in deep blue velvet to sculptural furniture designed in collaboration with Gubi, every detail enhances the sensory experience of live jazz. The result is a venue that blurs the line between club and art installation, inviting guests into a sophisticated and emotionally resonant atmosphere.

This project reflects GamFratesi's philosophy of storytelling through materiality and form, reinforcing their reputation for emotionally intelligent design in both residential and public spaces.
